This Taylor 614ce is part of its new revoiced Maple 600-series and features a Torrefied Sitka Spruce top and Maple back and sides. Those combined make for a rich, warm tone with a complex voice with all the tonal nuances Maple brings, in addition to the clarity of Sitka along with the torrefaction process, which gives it a lovely aged tonal quality as well as greater resonance and responsiveness. It's also equipped with Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics system, so regardless of whether you're plugged in you hear your guitar just the way it should. Additionally, the new 614ce is made with a Hard Rock Maple neck and Ebony fingerboard, and is supported by Taylor's Advanced Performance bracing with a relief rout added. It has a 25 1/2" scale length and 1 3/4" nut width, and a lot of nice appointments: a gloss finish, striped Ebony pickguard, Ebony/Ivoroid/Abalone rosette, Ebony binding throughout, Ivoroid wing inlays, a Micarta saddle, and a Tusq nut.
