Taylor Fladgate's roots trace to 1692, making it one of Porto's oldest houses and the only one that has remained 100% family-owned throughout its entire history. Grapes sourced fro m Cima Corgo and Douro Superior vineyards — including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and four additional indigenous varieties — are fermented using proprietary piston fermenters called Port Toes, a technique Taylor pioneered alongside only two other producers to extract greater flavor than conventional methods.
