Taymac by Hubbell DOCK320W Weatherproof Deck Power Box Kit, White The deck box includes everything needed for a quick installation into any outdoor deck or porch where power is needed. This is the kit that includes the GFCI outlet and weatherproof backbox, now you have everything you need without multiple trips to the store. Outdoor Rated Design for Decks and Porches The deck box when installed creates a near flush trip-resistant box with convenient and safe access to power. The box cover is waterproof and won't allow any liquid to enter inside the box when the cover is closed. Power can even be plugged in and used while the cover is closed, the gasket keeps any water from entering. The cover has two channels that allow one or two power cables up to 16 gauge in size to be plugged in, creating safe in-use operation in any weather situation. The cover stays open in a 90-degree position making it easy to plug and unplug your cords without the lid falling on your hands. Easy Installation To install the deck box there is a cutout template included that needs a 5 1/4" x 7 3/8" hole cut, where there are no obstructions below the surface such as joists. Then run power to the included back box, and secure the deck box to the deck with the included color matching screws. Safe Code-Compliant Box The deck box is NEC code compliant for wet locations, as well as the required in-use operation. The box features a textured slip-resistant finish that is only .014" thick, and the cover features a beveled edge that is ADA compliant. The covers are made out of a durable UV-resistant polycarbonate material that will not fade or crack from the sun or extremely cold temperatures. The deck box, back box, and outlet are cUL rated for USA or Canada installations.
