How the DFT flat bat trainer works The DFT has two flat sides and two rounded sides. The hitter is forced to make contact on the rounded portion. If their swing path or hand position is off, they make contact on the flat side. They feel and hear it immediately. The feedback loop is the whole point. The DFT teaches three core skills: Proper hand position at contact. The flat sides expose any hand-position breakdown the moment it happens. Square contact.
