The TB6600 stepper motor driver is a stand-alone microstepping driver that converts pulse and direction signals from a controller into current for a 2-phase NEMA 17 or NEMA 23 stepper motor, used in CNC routers, laser engravers, 3D printers, plotters and automation equipment.Upgraded TB6600 microstep driver for NEMA 17 and NEMA 23 stepper motors. Set microstepping (up to 32, 6400 pulses/rev) and output current (up to 4 A) with the 6-way DIP switch. Optocoupler-isolated PUL/DIR/ENA inputs work with Arduino, GRBL, Mach3 and PLC controllers. Aluminium housing doubles as a heatsink. Choose the standard TB6600 or the slimmer TB6600S variant. What can you use it for? Driving the axes of CNC routers, milling machines and laser engravers Larger 3D printers and industrial-style extruders that need up to 4 A Plotters, vinyl cutters, camera sliders and rotary tables Conveyor, dispensing and packaging automation controlled by a PLC Arduino, GRBL, Mach3 and LinuxCNC hobby builds Who is it for?CNC builders, makerspaces, automation engineers and anyone upgrading from small A4988/DRV8825 driver boards to a boxed driver with screw terminals and a heatsink.Compatibility Motors: 2-phase 4, 6 or 8-wire NEMA 17 (42 mm) and NEMA 23 (57 mm) stepper motors up to 4 A Controllers: Arduino, GRBL, Mach3 breakout boards, LinuxCNC, Raspberry Pi, PLC pulse outputs (3.3–24 V logic) Power: DC 9–42 V switching supply (24 V or 36 V recommended) Specifications Supply voltage DC 9–42 V Output current 0.5–4.0 A (DIP selectable: 0.5/1.0/1.5/2.0/2.5/2.8/3.0/3.5 A) Microstepping 1, 2/A, 2/B, 4, 8, 16, 32 (200–6400 pulses/rev) Motor compatibility 2-phase 4/6/8-wire NEMA 17 (42 mm) and NEMA 23 (57 mm) Signal inputs PUL±, DIR±, ENA± (optocoupler isolated, 3.3–24 V logic) Terminals Screw terminals for VCC/GND, A+/A−, B+/B− Indicator PWR/ALARM LED Dimensions 96 × 71 × 36 mm (TB6600S: 28 mm thick), 83 mm mounting hole spacing Cooling Aluminium heatsink housing What's in the box TB6600S: 1 × TB6600S driver (slim 28 mm housing) TB6600: 1 × TB6600 driver (standard 36 mm housing) Shipping and returnsShips from our warehouse in Singapore with tracking. Parts and accessories are charged by parcel weight, the same rates everywhere: $11.99 up to 250 g, $19.99 to 500 g, $34.99 to 1 kg and $59.99 to 2 kg. Orders over $100 that stay under 500 g ship free. Standard tracked runs 5–18 business days; DHL Express (3–5 business days) is offered at checkout if you need it sooner. Within Singapore: $6, or free over $110. Assembled robot-arm kits over 2 kg are built and calibrated to order in Singapore (dispatch in 7–10 business days) and ship worldwide at carrier cost: SingPost Speedpost Priority from $124.99 (10–14 business days) or DHL Express from $229.99 (3–5 business days), shown at checkout. 7-day returns; defective items are replaced or refunded with shipping covered. Import duties, where charged by your country, are paid by the recipient. One parcel, one shipping charge: small parts travel together, so the postage on a single 70 g servo is the same as on six of them. A 500 g parcel holds roughly six servos plus horns and cables — which is also about where an order passes $100 and ships free. If you are buying one small item, it is usually worth checking what else you will need for the same build.Frequently asked questionsHow do I connect a TB6600 to an Arduino?Connect PUL+, DIR+ and ENA+ to 5 V, and PUL−, DIR− and ENA− to three Arduino output pins (common-anode wiring). Connect the motor coils to A+/A− and B+/B−, and a 9–42 V DC supply to VCC/GND. Libraries such as AccelStepper work directly. What is the difference between TB6600 and TB6600S?Both use the same driver board, terminals and DIP-switch settings. The TB6600S is the slimmer 28 mm version; the standard TB6600 has a 36 mm housing with a larger heatsink. How do I set the current and microstepping?Use the 6-way DIP switch: SW1–SW3 select microstepping (1, 2/A, 2/B, 4, 8, 16 or 32), SW4–SW6 select output current from 0.5 A to 3.5 A peak 4 A. The table is printed on the driver. Change settings with the power off.Can it drive a NEMA 23 stepper motor?Yes. It drives any 2-phase NEMA 17 or NEMA 23 motor rated up to 4 A; for larger NEMA 23 or NEMA 34 motors above 4 A choose a DM542 or DM860 driver instead. What power supply do I need?A regulated DC supply between 9 V and 42 V. For NEMA 17 motors 24 V is typical; for NEMA 23 motors 36 V gives better speed. Do not exceed 42 V.
