DTaP-IPV vaccine can effectively prevent diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis (reduced dose) & inactivated poliovirus. In Hong Kong, DTaP-IPV is included in the Hong Kong Child hood Immunisation Programme. In order to achieve good and lasting protection, a child should receive 3 doses of DTaP-IPV vaccine in the first year of life (at 2 months, 4 months and 6 months), and another booster dose at 18 months.
