Houjicha is a roasted Japanese green tea with a soothing and earthy profile. Roasting turns the green tea leaves to a reddish-brown color, removes bitterness, and imparts the tea's signature toasty aroma. This houjicha is made from first flush tea leaves grown in an organic tea farm community within the Tenryu District known as "organic valley." It's rich in antioxidants and l-theanine.
