Beautiful delicate tea cup An authentic tea cup in White & brown colour, handcrafted by Marusegama in Tamba-Sasayama in Hyogo, Japan. Marusegama specializes dishes for tea ceremony. Because tea doesn't like to trasfer odors to vessels or absorb moisture, A very high level of quality is required for making pottery. Marusegama creates fine-grained soil suitable for dishes for tea ceremony by filtering Tanba's field soil and hand dug mountain soil through very fine sieve. Each pieces are handcrafted on a wheel and fired it firmly with carbonization. Also the glaze is unique and with just one kind of glaze, the graduation you see is expressed. Pottery crafts which are produced in Tamba-Sasayama area, is called Tambayaki. As one of six oldest kilns in Japan, it has supported people's lives for more than 800 years.
