Hand-dyed and hand-sewn in Kyoto by Sourindou, these coasters are created using reclaimed textiles and natural tea dyes. Drawing on traditional Japanese tailoring techniques, each piece is individually dyed and sewn by hand, resulting in subtle variations in colour, pattern, and texture. Some pieces are dyed using hojicha sourced from Ryuouen, while others utilise different tea materials including kobancha powder and unprocessed tea. The resulting palette reflects the quiet complexity of tea as a natural dye, ranging from warm golden tones to soft greys. Available in three variations: Grey - dyed using unprocessed tea materials to create soft grey tones. Karibancha - dyed using Karibancha Powder, producing warm yellow and golden hues. Hojicha - dyed using hojicha tea from Ryuouen, creating rich earthy brown tones and subtle variations.
