These hardy teak wood utensils come from various sources including remnants from the logging industry, recycled furniture, and sustainably harvested trees. Teak is a wonderful mate rial to cook with as the tight smooth grain is more durable, stands up to heat, and exposure to liquids. However, we recommend treating all your wooden utensils with care and they will love you back for a lifetime. We sourced these from a small independently run family business in the sparsely populated Loei province in northeast Thailand, where artisans learn skilled crafts through a program subsidized by the Royal family in an effort to create and promote community development and a sustainable livelihood through traditional handicrafts. Use for jam, sugar and spice all things nice.... like dips and salsas! SPECIFICATIONS MATERIAL Sustainably sourced teak CARE & USE As with all wooden utensils, hand-wash and towel dry thoroughly. To prolong the life of your wooden wares, avoid allowing to air dry. Apply a coat of spoon or board oil to condition the wood periodically when it looks dry. Keep out of the dishwasher. Show more
