Aqua 2x2 — Blue-Green Zellige Mosaic Tile A saturated sea-green with true blue beneath it. This is the color of fountain basins in a courtyard at midday — the kind of tile that's been sitting in shallow, moving water for a century and only gotten more alive for it. Aqua sits between our Teal and Fiji glazes, steadier than Fiji's variegation and warmer than Teal's depth, and it's drawn from copper in the glaze itself rather than any modern pigment. Up close, each tile drifts from deep teal to a brighter, almost jade green, giving an Aqua wall real movement rather than a flat, single note. Mounted on mesh sheets for a straightforward, clean installation, Aqua 2×2 reads as a cleaner, more architectural grid than the 1×1 — suited to kitchen backsplashes, powder rooms, hammam-style showers, and fountain surrounds where the wall itself should hold presence. It pairs beautifully with unlacquered brass, walnut, and lime plaster. Each sheet measures 8" x 8", covering approximately 0.44 sq. ft. As with all handmade zellige, no two tiles are ever quite alike — the natural variation in tone and texture is the hallmark of the craft, not a flaw.
