The "crystal" shape is made from a flat sheet of niobium metal. It is formed into shape using the ancient technique of chasing and repoussé. Once formed, it is anodised to create t he iridescent teal colour, which appears blue in some angles and lights, and green/teal in others. The silver setting was custom-made to the niobium crystal.
