In my studio, I love to set up still life’s to draw from. For this piece I collected all the teapots in our house and assembled them to study. The drawings inspired this embroidere d composition which brings in the imagined community of little birds that have made their homes amongst the teapots. Collaged silks are freely embroidered using my basic domestic sewing machine as a drawing tool. The embroidery is framed within a 28”x 22” contemporary white wood frame, ready to hang. Show more
