Targeted TreatmentTearRestore's design utilises normal anatomical features to target the oil glands of the eyelid while avoiding the globe. This permits the user to blink throughout treatment, resulting in natural oil gland expression throughout use. How does it work?"Click" the metal disc that's within the heat pack. Press the centre of the metal disc with your thumb or forefinger; this will activate the pack and you will begin to feel the heat.Massage the heat pack and attach it to the mask. Massage the heat pack after it is fully activated to evenly spread the heat. Next, match the eye holes of the heat pack with the mask and hook the edges of the heat pack eye holes onto the mask (see video for a demonstration).Adjust for comfort. Place the TearRestore mask and activated heat pack over your head and adjust to be able to see through the eye holes. Tighten the adjustable straps until comfortable then relax and continue your day!How to reactivate?The TearRestore heat packs are easily reactivated in boiling water; submerge the heat packs and place them in the boiling water for approximately 5 minutes. Once the heat packs have returned to a fully liquid state, remove them from the boiling water and let cool.Please note: for those switching from a microwaveable compress you may feel that this mask is not as hot when you first put it on. This is because it heats to a more regular and consistent temperature throughout the period of use. Microwaveable compresses/masks loose heat quickly so typically start hotter because they cool over time.
