This cord is made from Technora (Also known as Aramid) and is sold in increments of 5m (eg if you buy 10m, you'll get 1 rope not 2) Technora is known for being exceptionally strong and abrasion resistant, perfect for general mountain use Size Construction Breaking Strength 2mm 8 strand 300kg (661lbs) 3mm 12 strand 650kg (1,433lbs) The ends are sealed to avoid fraying, however it can be cut open and used as individual threads for sewing Some example use cases: 2mm 3mm General repairs, I keep 10m in my ski bag at all times Sewing up a totally blown out tent (requires disassembly of the cord) Rigging a tarp for an unexpected overnight Towing a patient in a ski tarp during extrication A compact tag line (NOT for rappelling on directly) Securing ski bags to the roof on a mega drive into the Himalaya after the nylon rope explodes (reference photo attached 😉) Disclaimer: This cord is intended for non-life-supporting applications only.
