And speaking of outer shells, the Tectonic H2O is constructed of a durable 3L polyester ripstop along with 3L hydratex waterproofing, you know, to keep the rain out when it starts to pour. It’s then coupled with an inner PWR|Shell mesh jacket to allow air to flow toward the body on the days when you need it the most. Zip them together and add your own favourite base (or mid) layer, and that’s a recipe for success. It’s important to note that the waterproof jacket does not have included armour, it is however CE Class B Certified, and it is not meant to be worn as a standalone piece when riding, but acts as the waterproofing layer over the AA safety-rated mesh jacket.Smart solutionsVentilation on the outer shell can be found inside the arms with exhaust vents on the back of the jacket. Measure chest circumference and divide the measurement by two; 2. Measure garment flat on chest line; 3. If the difference between point 1 and point 2 is 12 centimeters or bigger the garment is suitable to wear on top of the airbag. Note: Please keep in mind that the garment should be purchased in the correct size in order for the shoulder and elbow protection to fit properly and best protect you in case of a crash. In order to create space for the expansion of the airbag, you can remove all separate layers (thermal liners, water proof liners) that can restrict the expansion of the airbag in the event of a crash.
