Telopea ‘Shady Lady Crimson’ is a hardy, vigorous Waratah hybrid celebrated for its large, fiery crimson-red flower heads that bloom during spring. Developed for improved garden performance, it features lush dark green foliage and a tall, upright habit, making it an excellent feature plant or screen. 'Shady Lady Crimson' is a hybrid of Telopea speciosissima and T. oreades, making it tolerant of cooler temperatures and increcibly low-maintenance, as well as attractive to native pollinators - perfect for adding vibrant colour to native and wildlife-friendly gardens. Like many natives, 'Shady Lady Crimson' performs best in well-drained, low pH soils. It has mild frost tolerance and requires moderate watering; be sure to keep soil moist during heatwaves and dry spells.
