Tempranillo vines were planted at Barwang relatively recently in the early 2000’s and we have patiently awaited the arrival of our first release. Crafted in the ‘Joven’ style aka a ‘young’ fresh fruit forward style it is a magenta hue bursting with fresh blueberry and cherry aromas heralding a lush succulent savoury framed palate that is long, full-flavoured and lingering…We’re really excited about our first Temp! “A vibrant, juicy Tempranillo, joven-esque in style with red berries, cola, tart plum, salted liquorice and gentle, sweet spice notes doubling back through the palate and bouquet. Sits at medium bodied and does a good job of subtle savoury character, though the wine is fruity and upfront for sure.
