How to Apply Ten20 Conductive Paste Follow the current Ten20 IFU, the electrode manufacturer's instructions, the recording-system requirements, and your facility procedures. 1. Prepare the electrode site. Weaver's instructions describe gently preparing the intact skin with an abrasive preparation product such as NuPrep Skin Prep Gel. 2. Dispense only what is needed. Place the required amount of Ten20 onto a suitable clean working surface rather than repeatedly working directly from the bulk container. 3. Fill the cup electrode. For the bell-shaped cup electrode described in the manufacturer's instructions, fill the cup until it is slightly overfilled. 4. Place the electrode. Position it on the prepared site and apply moderate pressure. 5. Add fixation if needed. Tape or a small piece of gauze can provide additional security. 6. Verify the recording contact. Confirm electrode performance according to the connected recording system and facility protocol. 7. Remove after the examination. Ten20 is washable and can be removed with warm water. Avoid eye contact; if paste enters the eye, Weaver instructs rinsing with warm water for 10–15 minutes without rubbing.
