Formed through an intimate dialogue with clay and fire, this wood-fired vase bears the natural fluctuations of the firing process and traces of ash, preserved on the surface as part of the vessel’s “landscape.” When flowers are placed within, the weight of the stems and the presence of water are received naturally, allowing the vessel and nature to come together and rise as a single, unified scene. Please note: As each piece is wood-fired, variations in color, ash deposits, and surface expression naturally occur. Each piece is one of a kind. Please note that individual differences are part of the work’s character. As these works are handmade, slight variations in size and form should be expected.
