Because this organic material breathes, exposure to light or heat can occasionally create a light white haze known as "blooming.” This is a normal characteristic of natural rubber, not a defect. It wipes away easily with a damp cloth—repeat the process if it returns. To help prevent blooming, store your shoes in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
