A hand built terracotta lamp with our signature plaster shade. The lamp bases are hand coiled in England in our Dorset studio, slipped in greens and black with a thick Chinese brush before applying sgraffito. They are then glazed in a golden 'honey' colour which gives a luscious 'toffee apple' hue to the base. The subtle brush work and sgraffito adds texture and depth to the base which is illuminated by the down cast light from the plaster shade. The plaster shades are handmade in England by pouring wet plaster into moulds and hand finished with applied plaster which creates the lovely texture on the surface of the shade. A heavy, sculptural tactile lamp which is both stylish and functional in any interior. The lamps are wired to either EU/UK or USA specs, with twisted silk chocolate brown flex, gun metal finished electrical parts and an in line switch.
