13′ Single Radius The 13′ is a traditional single-radius profile with a strong emphasis on speed, stability and controlled deceleration. The longer radius creates a more planted fe el with more blade working against the ice, making it a good fit for skaters who value efficient strides, glide and support over a highly rockered, quick-turning feel. SSM describes the same basic radius tradeoff: as radius increases, the profile shifts toward top speed, stability and efficiency, while smaller radii place more emphasis on acceleration and maneuverability. The 13′ sits toward the speed-and-stability side of that spectrum while still retaining the familiar, consistent feel of a single-radius blade.
