The Together We Thrive shirt embraces all people living with spina bifida and celebrates the everyday moments our loved ones living with spina bifida are capable of. Most people who first learn of spina bifida learn about the challenges and hardships – but we aim to celebrate the accomplishments in their everyday life and help remind our community that together we thrive. We are on this journey with you and look forward to celebrating every milestone, accomplishment, and every day moment. This shirt was designed collaboratively by our Redefining Spina Bifida creative team who all volunteer passionately to help support our community and create awareness of spina bifida. This shirt was created alongside the oversight of valued members of our spina bifida community who all strive to strengthen our community and awareness of spina bifida. Illustrations include members of our spina bifida community living life and experiencing diverse opportunities and moments. Although this shirt was made in support of the spina bifida community it also encompasses the love and support for the disability community. An estimated 1 in 5 people are affected by a disability and many face similar trials, triumphs, and experiences.
