The TetraPond® Waterfall Filter creates beautiful waterfalls quickly and easily! The mesh bag allows for the addition of bio-media (6-8 liters of Bio-Activators) for effective filt ration for ponds up to 1000 gallons. Easy-to-assemble filter provides both mechanical and biological filtration and can easily be hidden with rocks and pond decoration. Use with pumps 500-4500gph Works with 1" or 1.25" tubing 2 year limited warranty How it Works As pond water is pumped into the bottom of the filter, it rises upward through the fiber filter mat, which traps suspended dirt and debris. The water then flows through lava rock or Bio-activators (not included) where beneficial bacteria naturally convert harmful ammonia and nitrites into relatively harmless nitrates, which can be absorbed by aquatic plants. The water then exits the filter along an extra-long spillway to create a waterfall. Ridges on the underside of the spillway prevent dripping.
