A Nambu Tekki Tetsubin — a traditional cast iron kettle from Japan. With the passage of time, the surface has developed a natural rust patina, enriching the raw texture of the iron . The thick, weighty cast surface lends it a distinctive and commanding presence. Since the Edo period (17th century), the tetsubin has been an essential tool in both tea ceremonies and daily life, valued for its exceptional durability and heat retention. It is said that continued use allows a layer of mineral scale to form inside, softening the water and enhancing its flavor — a cherished aspect of Japanese tea culture. Show more
