(aka: Teucrium majoricum) I love this plant and, no, I don't say that about all the plants we grow! This wonderful hot weather, drought-tolerant groundcover hails from the alkaline , rocky regions around Majorca, Spain. Teucrium cossonii forms a tight 4" tall x 4' wide mass (3 years) of stems adorned with tiny grey leaves that have an herby fragrance. We held a Studio 54 reunion-like staff sniff-in, and were still unable to reach a consensus on the exact fragrance, but it ain't pineapple. The evergreen clumps are adorned with short spikes of purple flowers, nonstop from June until frost...an insect favorite. Show more
