Self-sourced, skirted, sorted and driven to the mill by yours truly. The Texelaar in this sock yarn comes from sheep that live at a horse riding school, and the Mohair from petting zoo mohair goats. The Mohair is mixed in the white tread, the dyed (white) yarn is therefore slightly softer as mohair is a very soft and silky fiber. It is also very strong and therefore a good nylon substitute, a perfect addition to a natural sock yarn!I can not specify the precise percentages, as I simply don't know exactly. There should be about 25% Mohair in the white thread/dyed yarn, which would make it about 12.5% in the marled yarn. This is a lovely yarn for house socks & slippers or socks to wear in your wellies or clogs. Of course, it could also be used for other things, like mittens or a hat. With 200 grams you have plenty to play around with!
