I love halftones. I use them as much as humanly possible to shade artwork. That's why I offer them as part of almost every texture pack I sell. In most cases we don't bother creating vector versions of high res textures because they can be extremely memory intensive depending on path counts. Instead, we offer a lighter alternative in "Vector Bits", or small pieces of some of the textures in the pack.
