Features SA Line ID, AST Plus, Tropi-Core, Shooting Texture, Floating Texture, and Tactical Reference Point - When it comes to fishing, it’s important to remove every bit of error you can, and Scientific Anglers’ Line ID makes it easy to always grab the right line or spool. A quick identifier, SA Line ID is an integrated marking system in the first 1’-2’ of the tip section that ensures you won’t accidentally drive into the parking lot with a 6-weight line and a 9-weight rod. Whether you’re shooting line 85’ into a channel or stripping a shrimp back to your feet, Scientific Anglers’ AST Plus ensures excellent durability and shootabilty. AST Plus is SA’s new formulation of their patented dry-slick technology that’s 50% slicker than their previous formula and up to 200% more durable than other lines on the market. A solid addition, AST Plus makes your line float higher, last longer, and shoot further. One of the most tropical fish there is, bonefish live in some of the hottest places on the planet. Whether you’re standing on the casting platform with your line resting on a hot boat deck or you’re wading a flat that might feel like it’s boiling, SA’s Tropi-Core prevents your line from failing or getting limp. To make a line that lasts longer, floats, higher, and casts easier, Scientific Anglers adds their Shooting Texture, which is a series of hemispherical divots that has less texture feel on the surface while maintaining all of the benefits of a textured line. Couple this tech with their Floating Texture–which is a microtexture on the line’s surface that holds air to give additional shootabilty and floatation, while further eliminating friction and line flash–and you’ll find that this line has everything that you need for just about any bonefish situation you find yourself in. Finally, SA integrates their Tactical Reference Point into this line series. TRP is a non-embossed section where the end of the head meets the running line–this makes it easy to find the exact transition point no matter how tense the sight-fishing scenario is that you’ve found yourself in; think of this as an extra insurance policy that works to prevent you from whiffing that 40’ cast into a school of behemoth tailing bones. Uses Crustaceans and Streamers - Throwing a classic Gotcha or scooting a crab, this line handles all of your crustacean needs, and in those random situations where the bonefish want to chew a Clouser, this line delivers small streamers perfectly. With a bounty of technologies and just the right taper, you can delicately place flies–both weight and unweighted–just where you need them. Temp Tropical - Built to withstand the hottest temperatures that you’ll encounter in fly fishing, SA’s Amplitude Bonefish Plus Taper Fly Line is made for truly tropical destinations. From the Keys to Belize, this line can handle it all, but should you try and use it in a colder environment, you’ll find that it gets stiff almost immediately. Taper/Weight Long Compound Head - Built around precision, accuracy, and delicate fly placement, this line has a long compound head with its mass being focused towards the front. This allows you to cast into strong winds without compromising casting distance or the soft presentation that’s often needed for smart bonefish
