THE 5 ELEMENTS In western astrology, it is believed that the universe is formed by the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water and then the super/fifth element of spirit, which incorporates all four. These are the outward manifestations of the true Elements. Each of the four elements contains its own unique properties, which work simultaneously to create one united universe. None of the elements are inherently good or bad, however, each has both positive and negative qualities. Whether you're loud or quiet, timid or outgoing, impetuous or logical - your personality is filled with both pros and cons. Nobody is perfect and it is difficult to self-evaluate in order to understand our base emotions and desires. That's why finding your element is so important. By finding your element, you'll be able to better appreciate your own strengths and be more self-aware of your weaknesses. This understanding will help you to build better, stronger relationships with those around you. Let your element be a guide to a more intuitive self. The Earth element promotes peace, fertility, wealth, business success, stability, strength, growth, employment and prosperity. The essential oils Cypress, Vetiver, Patchouli, Spruce Black, Bergamot, Thyme, Cinnamon, Pine Sylvestris and Spikenard are helpful to tune into these aspects of the Earth element. The Air element promotes communication, travel, intellect, eloquence, divination, freedom, wisdom, inspiration and imagination. The essential oils Lavender, Lemongrass, Peppermint, Spearmint, Cassia, Rosewood, Tea Tree, Lemon and Myrtle can help you increase your abilities in this area corresponding to the Air element. The Fire element promotes communication, physical strength, manifesting the Law of Attraction, will power, purification, protection and sensuality. The Fire element can be enhanced by using the following essential oils Cedarwood, Frankincense, Lime, Nutmeg, Orange, Pepper Black, Geranium, Cinnamon and Tagetes. The spirit element promotes unification, magic, change, alchemy, being one with nature, timelessness, balanced energy and divinity. Cypress, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Mandarin, Neroli, Orange, Tangerine and Ylang Ylang are all essentials oil to encourage the spirit element. The Water element promotes love, healing, peace, compassion, reconciliation, friendship, psychic abilities and purification. Essential oils of Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Lemon, Spearmint, Ylang Ylang, Litsea Cubeba, Cedarwood, Galbanum and Yarrow enhance the Water element. How to use: Add 5-7 drops (0.3 ml) to water in a vaporizer or burner.Add 10 drops (0.5 ml) to 15-25 ml of carrier oil for use in massage.Add 6-15 drops (0.1 ml) per 30g of selected Skincare Base before application.Add 2 - 6 drops into your bath. Never use pure oils on the skin without diluting, never use internally, keep away from children and eyes, always check if there are any medical issues which could cause a problem.
