Wolves have fascinated me for many years, particularly the relationships that exist within a pack. While people often think of leadership as dominance, wolves depend on cooperation, trust, and family bonds. That quiet partnership became the inspiration for The Alphas. Painted during a period when I was exploring the techniques and traditions of the Grand Central Atelier, this piece allowed me to experiment with luminosity, soft transitions, and layers of scumbled paint. The light moving across the white fur became an important part of the painting, creating an atmosphere that feels both powerful and serene.
