The Army Painter – Speedpaint is a range of water based acrylic paints based on an innovative resin medium that acts as a heavy body wash, accumulating pigment in the recessed area s of a model, while covering more thinly on the raised areas to simulate the application of shadows and highlights. This new approach to paint formulation allows for a very effective “one coat” application that simulates shade and highlight to create a great range of depth and contrast to a model in a single coat of paint. Designed to be applied over The Army Painter primers. Lighter colored primers or a “zenithal” primer coat of lighter colors applied from above over darker colors applied from below will offer the best results. Packaged in plastic 18ml dropper bottles.
