The Auditorium iHorn is perhaps among the rarest iHorns ever made. Very few of these radio horn speakers come to auction. The Auditorium is the only iHorn of its type and also the only one ever made of earthenware. It was made in 1925 by Pountney & Co, The Bristol Pottery Company, in Great Britian. The Auditorium is a centurian. Pountney & Company was founded in 1849 and continued largely in high quality pottery until 1969. Because of the proximity to the port, Pountney took advantage of that proximity taking a huge role in pottery export. This coupled with their unparalleled skill in transfer pottery (where images were literally baked into the glaze), Pountney was in a class by itself.
