The size is just so that it tucks nice ly under the arm if worn on one shoulder. The bag can also be adjusted to be worn as a cross body. Perfect for wearing in big cities, the bag is huggable when worn across the body and is made secure with brass clasp. Rectangular in shape, structured and higher rather than longer, this bag holds a water bottle upright. All Carrie George bags are hand sewn. Why does that matter? Good question. Hand sewing a bag takes longer, but ensures an extremely solid interlocking of the thick waxed thread. This makes the bags able to hold up to lots of weight and years of wear.
