They use two strands of lace weight mohair yarn knit on large needles. It is a quick, fun, and addictive pattern. Five colors blend together to give an ombre effect. The scarf uses 5 colors, one each of 25 gram skeins of mohair yarn (125 grams total). Version 1 measures 11.5 inches wide and 88 inches long. Version 2 measures 15 inches wide and 74 inches long. Perfect for wrapping up the stay snuggily warm. The wrap is twice as wide and just as long. It also uses 5 colors, two each of 25 gram skeins or one each of 50g skeins of mohair yarn (250 grams total). Version 1 measures 23 inches wide and 88 inches long. Version 2 measures 30 inches wide and 74 inches long. Perfect for wrapping up the stay even more snuggily warm. Recommended yarns: Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive, Suri Stratus, and Halo. Any lace weight mohair or alpaca lace weight yarn with at least 220 yards per 25 gram skein will work for the scarf or wrap.
