"The Bridge" is a controversial artwork from my past as a gay student. Despite being included in the faculty's best works fund after I drew it for the "Construction" topic, it was quickly sold after I posted a photo of it online. I had to retrieve it from the fund under the pretext of an exhibition, much to the Academy of Arts' dismay. I sold the painting and received payment, but the Academy later demanded that I return it before they could issue me a diploma. I solved the problem by creating another version of "The Bridge", which I submitted to the Academy and successfully graduated as an architect. Now, you may wonder which version of "The Bridge" is on display here. The answer is a surprise: I loved the idea of "The Bridge" so much that when I moved from Russia to Germany, I created a third version of the painting.
