The Burns Jersey, in 'navy' blue is named after Benjamin Henry Burns, the Scottish Rugby Union player who represented England in the first Calcutta Cup rugby match. Burns was also an avid golfer, and while working in Christchurch New Zealand, he was one of four promoters to establish a golf club at Hagley Park. He won the Christchurch championship on two occasions, and became captain, and later life-member of the club. The Burns Jersey is made here in England, and is designed to be played in, so is the most authentic jersey out there. The embroidered Biggs fox offers a discreet heritage inspired design that is an easy wardrobe choice. The fit of our jerseys are loose and a little over-sized. So our shirts measure 2" inches more than what is on the label. ie. 38/40" is fit. True size is 42". If you would like a smaller fit,opt for the next size down. Ie. 34/36" would be 38" chest.
