I wanted to capture a scene where the beautiful and the influential meet. This textured piece centres on a tranquil pond, rendered not in typical blues, but with vibrant, otherworldly highlights of turquoise, green, and mauve, suggesting a deeper, magical presence. Floating above the water are three delicate pink butterflies, which give the painting its name. This scene is inspired by the scientific concept that a butterfly's gentle wing flap can set off a huge chain of events. Through this colourful, dreamlike world, I hope to invite contemplation that even the smallest act of change or beauty can have a far-reaching impact. Framed in an oak float frame.
