More than a dozen chainsaws hang on the weathered wall of a small engine-repair shop near St. Johnsbury, Vermont, in the Northeast Kingdom. Oliver Parini photographed them as he fo und them — faded orange and yellow paint, rusted-through chains, dead hop vines wound around the handles.The shop owner didn't name the display.
