The Clock Tower at Stocksbridge in Sheffield is over 100 years old, built in 1923 as a War Memorial and annually marks the centre of the town on Remembrance Day. The first remembra nce service was held the following year in 1924 to pay respects to all the fallen soldiers and individuals that sacrificed their lives that lead to our victory in WW1 and unbeknown lead to symbolise those lost in WW2.
