Compact nitrogen bracke t and stainless-steel tubes mount in front of the closing wheels to minimize row unit extension for improved performance on contours. Incorporation of nutrients into the seedbed improves application efficiency when compared to over-the-top applications. Curved Tooth Poly Wheels Eliminates Compaction and Lift The aggressive sweptback design destroys sidewall compaction and improves seed to soil contact. The curved tooth design disengages with the soil before generating lifting forces, keeping the seed placement consistent across the entire row. The curved teeth enter the soil at an angle that is nearly parallel to the surface to create a firm seedbed without overpacking. The teeth exit the soil at an angle that is nearly perpendicular to the soil surface, eliminating the "hole-poking" disruption to the seedbed that is more common with straight tooth wheels. Eliminates wrapping when planting into cover crops that are common with some straight tooth designs. The UHMW poly design's corrosion-resistant properties make them ideal for use in "in-between" nitrogen applications where the closing wheels are able to work the starter into the soil surrounding the seed. When no-tilling soybeans into corn stalks, wheels create a clean strip of soil that drastically improves soybean emergence in heavy residue situations. Drag Chain Drag chain assembly attaches to factory mounting for easier maintenance and keeps the chain a consistent height off the ground. Complete System is currently compatible with Kinze and John Deere MaxEmerge, Max Emerge 2, XP, and MaxEmerge 5 row units.
