The Community Pride Flag was designed by artist community creator Michael DeVellis and is rooted in the original 8-stripe flag design created by artist Gilbert Baker in 1978. Evolv ed pride flag designs have been introduced over the years to more fully give representation to various queer communities. The Community Pride Flag incorporates meaningful colors from many of those flag designs while creating a completely unique design, distributing the various shades of stripes in multiplicity and with a sense of equal representation for all of those they represent.
