Woven in Japan with gold metallic thread, this Obi retains its original securing threads (red and white) and has not been opened for use. Laid the length of a dining table or along a sideboard, where the light catches the brocade differently by the hour. At approximately 390cm/153in, it's sized for 10-seat dining tables, giving a full, elegant drop at each end. The tortoise shell (Kikkō) on this Obi is centuries-old motif in Japanese design - longevity. As each Obi is uniquely patterned, no two runners are ever quite the same.
