In 2022 this Riesling was hanging golden and freckled on the vine. We picked the grapes and trod them to let the juice soak with the gorgeous skins for several hours. After pressin g, the juice was radiant, and we let it settle for two days in steel before racking into four neutral barrels. The wine fermented slowly through the winter and in the spring malolactic fermentation had only partially finished. We continued to stir the lees gently, once each month. The final wine was dry while retaining vibrant acidity. The Crystal Dagger delivers the mineral and saline that we love from Eola-Amity Hills white wines, alongside springtime notes like white flowers in the wind.
