The debut commercial film for director Peter Greenaway from the Ritz cinema. Anthony Higgins is the 17th Century draughtsman hired to make twelve drawing of a country estate and is paid in sexual favours by the land owners wife and daughter (Janet Suzman and Anne Louise Lambert). The drawings seem to be an artistic witness to murder and the complex visuals in this cleverly designed film poster set the scene perfectly. There is a small felt bleed at the bottom centre of the poster which shows through to the front from the Ritz cinema historic felting. Show more
