Thematically they represent flashbacks of the past, the times of war in Yugoslavia and even before. Here are the families, nomads, mostly women with children - you see them from the back, or with faces covered, walking away from the misery of abandoned places, awaiting at the shore for the boat that would take them across the sea in the hope of finding a new refuge.
