THE ETERNAL VIGIL The piece began as an original digital sculpt and was developed specifically for casting as a shallow-relief silver object. It continues my recent exploration of sculptural silver works that sit somewhere between bullion, relief sculpture, and small devotional artifact. Each stage from the original sculpt through finish was completed individually. The finished piece retains the subtle character of hand-cast silver rather than the uniformity of mass production.
