This image was taken along the Hazen Trail in Norwich, Vermont. While my partner was attending a baking class at King Arthur to learn how to make baguettes, I had time to wander th is lovely little trail. It was a hot, sunny day, and the small woodland offered welcome shade until I emerged into the open field. I could feel the sun’s heat radiating off the meadow grass and almost see it shimmering in the air. The scent of sun-warmed grass is deeply nostalgic and quietly refreshing to my soul. This was exactly the experience I had hoped for when I scouted the area and planned my day. Show more
