This is perhaps the single most famous of Hokusai's woodblocks or ukiyo-e prints. Ukiyo-e translates as “pictures of the Floating World” and is so called because its subjects depic t the transitory world. The original art was produced primarily during the Edo period and Hokusai was a master. Solid brass electro-plated with a gold finish. Approx. 3.25"l. x 1.25"w. (excluding tassle).
